My opinion of the pricing policy for CS6 is that it makes a lot of sense especially if you are completely new to the program and do not have a previous version to upgrade from. Your choices are to sign up for the individual apps ($30/mo each month to month or $20/mo with a year commitment), or the full creative suite of apps ($75/mo on a month to month plan or $50/mo with a year commitment). You might save a few bucks doing just the 2 apps you mentioned individually, but not enough to justify the loss of use of all of the other applications in my opinion so I'd say go for the full suite and know that if you need to, you can easily and legally access and use any of the other programs. if you are a student or teacher you could qualify for the education pricing which is just $30/mo.
