Yeah, I already use the PDF converter for my Word documents... it's really much fast than the Acrobat plugin.
...what I've taken to doing now, with support seemingly unable to support anything, is keeping a copy of AAM on my desktop. It seems that every three days to two weeks, usually when pushing a document through from ABBYY Finereader, Acrobat will seemingly forget that Adobe Application Manager is installed, or AAM somehow disappears from my system. So I have to reinstall AAM and then everything works again.
PDF Xchange is a little clunky. The viewer is quite nice, and fast, but the PDF Tools interface is really clunky, so when I'm converting scanned images of different sizes, the workflow isn't really very good. I guess I should be sticking to ABBYY for that. Cute PDF is also fast, but it's got a few limitations on the file types, so I had to scrap it.
