Kartikay, I tried all those things, one at a time. Up to, and including logging in as the root. Nothing worked. And this issue doesn't seem to be related to the size of the installer files either. Because I'm having problems with apps like Premier (1.7 gigs), but I have the same problem trying to install Audition (400 megs).
