Stewart Shevin, The installation can be done on any drive, but it should be a part of your system's hard Drive, say if you have two partitions or two Separate hard drive's that are in your computer all the time, SSD is your primary drive that has the OS, you can install the software in a diff directory, It need nod be a Boot drive.
