I rebooteed and launched AAM from the system tray and it did work. I installed all the apps I think I'll need. But two issues remain:
1. When I tried to update the seven apps that needed updating, I received the error message "Error installing this update . . . (U44M11216).'
2. When I tried to install Acrobat 11 Pro, it failed to install and I received the following error message:
Exit Code: 7 Please see specific errors below for troubleshooting. For example, ERROR:

I have a gut feeling that it failed to install because Acrobat 9 Pro is installed. My fear is, that if I uninstall Acrobat 9, and Acrobat 11 does not install, I will be up the proverbial creek since I use Acrobat on a daily basis in my work. The only Acrobat I have on disk is 8 standard, which I believe came with CS3.
